Is your craft room a disaster? Are you unsure of how to get your creative space organized? Figuring out how to organize your craft room is a vital part of the crafting process.

Supplies left in disarray around the room tend to cause stress, strangle inspiration, and can even feel stifling. Keeping things neat and tidy might seem like the enemy of creativity, but it’s actually a secret weapon. 

Many crafters struggle with organization, but we don’t have to sacrifice our creativity to get organized. I’ll be sharing my favorite craft room organizing secrets, so keep reading to discover the best ways to organize your craft room.

How to Organize Your Craft Room 

As you begin to organize your craft room, think about how you use materials and when. Consider your favorite places to do certain activities within the room. Do you like to cut cloth at the table or prefer to spread it out on the floor? The answer might help you determine where to keep items or even how to store them.

My favorite tip is to set a timer. You can do anything for 10 minutes. Tell yourself you’re only going to clean and organize for 10 minutes, then stick to it. Working on getting organized in short spurts is a great way to get motivated to tackle even bigger decluttering projects. Before you know it, your craft room will be clutter-free and ready for creating once again.
