If you missed the first few posts in our Tot School Days series, you can find them here. I also spent some time putting together a list of our “Tot School” must-haves. These are the things that we absolutely can’t live without.
Realistically, we probably should’ve just taken this week off. We’ve both been really sick and we’ve been going to bed at like 8 PM. Actually, last night was the first night I stayed up after the little guy went to bed and that was only because I’m starting to get entirely too far behind. I also may or may not have slept through the majority of Saturday afternoon. For what it’s worth, he did too.
I’m honestly not sure why this year has been so bad for us. Quite possibly because we’re both with other little kids all day, every day. I swear, though. One or the other of us is sick every week at this point.
So what did we actually manage to accomplish this week? Not a whole lot. Lol…
We spent some time putting together our new puzzles. We got this one* and this one*. As much as the little guy loves these, I’m probably not going to be buying anymore of them. They’re in no way, shape, or form a challenge for him at this point. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, his problem-solving skills never cease to amaze me.
We played with Play-Doh.
We also put together this awesome color-sorting game. We got the clear dish from the dollar store and we had already been saving the tops from his fruit pouches for quite a while. I guess we need to find a few more colors, though. Lol…
We even explored a few of the letters and numbers from this abc & 123 foam puzzle mat* that we got not too long ago.
And in other awesomeness, I got our sensory materials organized into these snap-top Tupperware containers that I found this week. I have our sand and gemstones in one, our popcorn in another, and I still have one that’s empty. You know what that means, don’t you? That means it’s time to find something to put in it. Lol…
I definitely want to get some of those plastic aquarium gems. And I’m also thinking about making kinetic sand, so… I’m sure they’ll all be ready to go soon enough.
Of course the little guy and I are both loving our “Tot School” Days. If you’re interested in following along with what we’re up to each week, definitely sign up via email and/or follow The Keeper of the Memories on Facebook and Pinterest.
