This weekend, we made quite a bit of progress on the studio project. Thankfully, things are finally starting to get back to normal around here and the little guy and I are both feeling a lot better.
We got the hardwood floor put down, which means it just needs stained and sealed. We also managed to get the wood picked up for the trim.
I’m staining the floor walnut. Final decision. Lol… I’ve been going back and forth with this for what feels like forever. That’s typical, though. I’m indecisive. The upstairs floors are natural and while I realize the walnut will be a lot more work, I love the look of it.
We’re leaving for vacation this week, so I’m not sure how much, if anything, we’ll get accomplished before we leave. Either way, we really do need to get this wrapped up as soon as we get back.
I keep telling myself there really isn’t all that much left to do. And in some ways, there isn’t. We’re down to staining and sealing the floor and doing the trim. Everything just seems to take a lot longer than anticipated and for someone who’s as impatient as I am, that makes it feel as if this is dragging on indefinitely. Lol…
