Not sure what to do with all the ephemera you’ve collected over the years? Take a look at how I organized all the random bits and pieces of paper in my creative space.
Today, I spent my Studio Sunday with a friend. She organized her beads. I organized my ephemera.

Here’s the before – what a disaster, right?
Here’s the after –
The clear containers are iris cases – 5×7, 8.5×11, and 12×12.
I sorted everything and put it into whatever size container it fit neatly into – all of the book-type pages went into a 12×12 iris case. Sheet music, illustrated book pages, and flashcards, timecards, etc. went into 8.5×11 iris cases. Tickets, clear overlays, tags, and envelopes went into 5×7 iris cases.
I’ve been putting this off for weeks. I dread repetitive tasks. I have entirely too short of an attention span to sit and do things like this.
What have you been putting off? Leave me a comment and tell me about it. Oh, and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for mixed media & art journaling Monday.
Have a great week!
