Basically, sequencing is the ability to order events and ideas in a logical way and it’s super important for reading comprehension and storytelling skills.
Sequencing helps little kids to recognize patterns and make sense of the world around them.
Spider Life Cycle
- Eggs – Like lots of other animals, spiders lay eggs. The number of eggs varies by species and some spiders lay just a few while others lays hundreds.
- Egg Sac – Mama spiders protect their eggs by covering them in silk and creating a sac, which she hangs somewhere safe until the eggs hatch.
- Spiderlings – Baby spiders! A spiderling is a young, immature spider. We did a fun Halloween Sensory Bin last year with itty-bitty spiders.
- Spider – Did you know that spiders are arachnids? They have eight legs while insects have six. I’ve always been fascinated by these unique creatures.
Spider Crafts & Activities
Your kiddos can draw the life cycle of the spider using their nature journals and colored pencils. After that, you can use life cycle figurines to make a quick & easy sensory bin. Are you looking for a spider craft too? Use paper plates, googly eyes, and cardstock strips to make adorable spiders that you can then hang up in your homeschool or classroom.
