A huge thanks to Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time) for providing us with their Experience Preschool curriculum for free in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. It’s been such a huge blessing to us! As always, my opinions on awesome stuff for little kids are 100% my own.
Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best mama judgement when planning activities for your little kids.
Quick & Easy Paper Bag Puppet Lion Craft for Kids
What you’ll need
- Mini Paper Bag
- Cupcake Liner
- Crayons or Markers
- Scissors
- Tape and/or Glue
- Wiggly Eyes
Here’s how to do it
Give each child a cupcake liner. Invite the child to draw a lion face.
Use crayons to create the lion’s mane fur. We used shades of red, orange, and yellow.
Make fringe around the lion’s mane with scissors. Cut lengthwise the entire way around the cupcake liner. You can check out the pictures to see exactly what I mean.
Add Wiggly Eyes to your lion’s face.
And of course draw a nose and mouth.
When you’re finished, all that’s left to do is to glue the lion head onto the mini paper bag. Make sure that you glue it on in the right direction so that when you put your hand inside, the lion’s mouth moves.
That’s it, y’all! You have yourself your very own Quick & Easy Lion Paper Bag Puppet Craft for kids!
