Guess what, y’all? It seems as though we’ve been doing nothing but organizing lately, so I thought it was about time to make a mess. Say what? Yep, you heard me right. This week, I’m challenging you to use a quote on your page or project and to of course get messy in the process.
I put together an awesome page that was lots of fun.
I used gesso to get started and then added my quote along with two colors of spray ink.
Some blue acrylic and a stencil gave me the first layer of my background.
Lots more layers were added to my background with purple and teal acrylic. I have a huge collection of mixed media texture supplies – everything from stencils to things I’ve found lying around the house to create texture.
I used my favorite watercolor crayons to create purple circles and then of course I blended them with a water brush pen.
A little bit of white acrylic and glass beads along with punchinella gives this page some dimension as well as stamping with one of my favorite stamps. The majority of stamps that I use are from either Tim Holtz or Christy Tomlinson.
And more layers, some blue embossing powder, and a few flowers finish it off.
