Guess what, y’all? It seems as though we’ve been doing nothing but organizing lately, so I thought it was about time to make a mess. Say what? Yep, you heard me right. This week, I’m challenging you to get out your art supplies and to of course get messy in the process.
I put together an art journal page that I’m head over heels in love with.
I started with a a 9×12 art journal and added some gesso to my page. After that, I used a stencil and mist for the background.
I love lots of layers, which means I tend to just keep adding to my pages until they have lots of texture & depth.
I make such a mess while I’m creating. Lol…
I used Neocolor II’s, a stencil, and a waterbrush pen for the blue circles. I almost always outline everything with a black marker.
And of course a little bit acrylic paint finishes this page up. I outlined the edges with my Neocolor II’s and used a waterbrush pen to blend it. I also added some stamping with a roller stamp.
Love it! And I think it was an awesome way to get re-acquainted with mixed media & art journaling.
