A huge thanks to Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time) for providing us with their Experience Preschool curriculum for free in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. It’s been such a huge blessing to us! As always, my opinions on awesome stuff for little kids are 100% my own.
Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best mama judgement when planning activities for your little kids.
This month, Experience God is all about Joseph & the Colorful Coat.
The most awesome thing about Mother Goose Time, by far, is the fact that everything is more or less ready to go. Yay for little to no planning or prep! I mean, sure, there are occasionally things to laminate and we get a gathering list, but most of that is just stuff we have around the house.
Each month, I get a little yellow school bus box that includes a almost everything I need organized by day. All of the circle time supplies are in a bag and the teacher supplies are too. Experience God is no exception.
We were looking for a quick and easy activity one day and the little guy and I stumbled across this one. I asked him if he wanted to make a colorful coat and of course he said yes.
We pulled the brown paper bag from our Experience God supplies, grabbed some Kwik Stix from our art shelf, and got to work.
The little guy spent lots time of time working on his colorful coat. I seriously love watching him create. A little bit of pink. Some gray.
And of course we need some contrast, so out comes the blue. We can’t forget blue.
He wrapped things up with the Kwik Stix and then it was time to take his creation and make it a colorful coat.
I helped him cut down the center and then cut out the neck and arms.
And when it was all said and done, he tried it on. We ended up with lots of cute pictures. I had a really hard time choosing just a few.
I definitely think the little guy loves his colorful coat.
