We’ve finished up our first week of A to Zoo Animals and of course the little guy’s favorite thing about Mother Goose Time is definitely the “tray play” ideas that are in our Little Goose Teacher Guide. They’re awesome! I thought it’d be fun to give you a peek into what we’ve been up to this week, a recap of sorts, at least as far as the “tray plays” go.
My little zookeeper must really love his job because he did double-duty today. The Day 3 topic was C is for Camel, which meant lots of sand for us to play with. This zoo manager mama was totally on top of things and had all of our Mother Goose Time stuff already set up. Go me!
We’re a few days further with our A to Zoo Animals box from Mother Goose Time and of course still lovin’ it! The topic for Day 2 was B is for Bird and included lots of feathery fun. The little guy and I started the morning with our calendar and weather as usual and put the letter B on our alphabet tree.
We managed to work our way through Day 1 and all I can say is wow! Mother Goose Time has literally thought of everything. This is definitely a full Preschool curriculum and then some. I can’t even wrap my head around all the awesome stuff we did. I thought it’d be fun to share a peek into our first day of “Tot School” with Mother Goose Time as well as talk about what we learned.
I’ve been practically bursting at the seams waiting to share some awesome news with y’all! I found out not too long ago that the little guy and I were chosen to be blog ambassadors for Mother Goose Time. Imagine me jumping up and down and spinning around in circles and you’ll at least have an idea of how excited I am.
Hello, hello! We made some major changes in the studio, at least as far as the little guy’s stuff goes, which of course means that today we’re talking about creating play spaces for kids. We’re gearing up for our first year of Preschool. Our curriculum is showing up a little at a time and we’re […]
Hello, hello! As much as the little guy and I usually love our Tot School Days and learning through play, sometimes we’re just not feeling it. He’s irritable. I’m exhausted. Or we’re both in bed by 8 PM. Such is life, right? Some weeks are of course worse then others, but suffice it say that […]
This week, the little guy and I had fun reading Dinosaurumpus* and doing lots of dinosaur-themed activities. He loves dinosaurs and it’s absolutely hilarious when he roars. It’s actually more like “rawr.” Lol… Either way, he cracks me up. I love watching him explore the world around him.
This week, we did lots of fun activities related to gardening. After all, Sunday was the first day of spring and I really wanted to plant some flowers since the little guy loves our calendar activities so much. I thought he’d love watering his own little indoor garden as well. I found this adorable little kitchen herb kit a few years ago and I love it. I figured it’d be perfect for him and we could keep our flowers in the studio by the window on his science shelf.
It was color week, y’all! And of course we had so much fun! I can’t even begin to wrap my head around how much he’s grown up. It’s definitely crazy to think that he’ll be turning two in a few months. And I also can’t get over how inquisitive he is. Um hello! What happened to my baby? So long and farewell, right? These days, it’s all toddler, all the time. Lol…
