One of our favorite activities this week was the Robot Tinkering invitation to create. The new process art experiences from Mother Goose Time always exceed my expectations and this one was definitely no exception. The skills listed for this activity were Shapes (16.2) and Logic (20.1).
The little guy and I had lots of fun working on an Upcycle Collage invitation to create process art experience, except when it was all said and done, we didn’t end up making a collage after all. Whoa. Wait a sec! You mean, we made something, but didn’t actually make anything? Talk about an oxymoron, right?
We’ve been at home full-time for a few weeks now and we’re right where we should be for the month with Mother Goose Time. Yay! It’s all kinds of awesome to finally be doing things in real time. It used to be that we’d do lots of stuff on the weekends and hardly anything during the week.
There are quite a few things that we can always look forward to from Mother Goose Time. Each month, we get a couple of letter cookie cutters, 2 sets of manipulatives, and a storybook. We also get letter cards for the letter that we’re focusing on for the month. Today, I thought I’d share a few ideas for using some of this stuff.
We’ve been having so much fun with the invitation to create activities from Mother Goose Time. It used to be that we never skipped a tray play activity. These days, we’ve been making a point of doing each and every one of the invitation to create experiences. Yep, they’re that awesome!
If you’ve been following along with what we’ve been up to lately, then you probably already know that we’re at home full-time now. Oh, and the little guy is just about 2 1/2, so I also thought it might be time to switch things up again. Say what? Yep! Soon, the little guy will trade Little Goose for Experience God. Out with the old and in with the new, right?
Today marked a huge turning point for us. It was our very first day of working from home. And it was of course all kinds of awesome. Yep, that’s one of my favorite expressions. Have you noticed? Lol… Our topic for the day was cows and, as always, Mother Goose Time thought of everything and then some.
Not too long ago, I accepted a full-time work-at-home position and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about it. I had prayed so hard and for so long about homeschooling. I may or may not have already mentioned how much of a blessing Mother Goose Time has been for us and of course I definitely feel like my prayers were answered and then some. I can’t even believe it.
We were so excited to get started with our Down on the Farm theme from Mother Goose Time. Yep! My little goose was definitely ready to go. And I totally love the expression on his face. Talk about priceless. One of the little guy’s favorite things is of course the two sets of manipulatives that come with each month’s curriculum kit. This month was no exception.
Not too long ago, I was reminiscing about how far the little guy has come and of course how quickly. It seems like just yesterday that we got our very first little yellow school bus box. We were both so excited to get started. I brought the box in, put it on the studio floor, and we opened it together.
