We’ve had such an awesome few weeks learning about life at the pond with Mother Goose Time. April is all about birds + eggs and we’re just about ready to get started with it. In the meantime though, I thought it’d be fun to share one of our favorite activities from this month. This Pond invitation to create process art experience is too cool.
This month’s Experience God from Mother Goose Time is all about worries. We read the story “Jesus Walks on Water” and talked about Philippians 4:6. Don’t worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Of course there was this awesome Stormy Weather activity too.
If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve probably noticed the fine print at the top of each and every one of our Mother Goose Time posts. Little kids do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. One of the reasons it’s there is to remind y’all that every toddler and preschooler is unique.
The little guy and I are still working our way through At the Pond w/ Mother Goose Time and we’re lovin’ it. This is one of the best themes yet. I think I say that every month, though. Lol… Today, we did the Snake invitation to create, which was a process art experience that focused on both fine motor (5.1) and visual arts (32.2) skills.
Each month, we get Experience God with our Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum kit and we definitely love it. Today, it’s all about Jesus being a rock and creating a unique piece of art that’s an illustration of our faith. This project was actually included last month, but unfortunately we didn’t get to it. I had it all set up and ready to go, but…
We’ve had so much fun with our At the Pond theme already this month. Mother Goose Time is definitely a favorite around here. Today, it’s all about turtles. We read Turtle Splash and spent some time exploring our brand-spankin’-new manipulatives.
A new month means a brand-spankin’-new theme. And this time around it’s all about life at the pond. I’m so excited. I did a similar theme when I was teaching in the toddler room a while back, but I had to plan everything by myself. Actually, we even read a few of the same books that we’ll be reading again this month. Seriously, though. I spent hours on Pinterest.
I can’t even begin to wrap my head around the fact that February is over. Talk about crazy! And we definitely loved this month’s Nursery Rhymes theme from Mother Goose Time. No surprise, right? Lol… One of our favorite activities was the wire sculpture invitation to create process art experience.
Oh, how I love the manipulatives that come in each of our Mother Goose Time curriculum kits. I mean, how could I not? Each month we get counting manipulatives and shape manipulatives. Yep, two different sets with every new theme… I seriously can’t get over how much awesome stuff comes packed into each and every little yellow school bus box.
The little guy and I have had so much fun in the last few weeks. We’ve been reading and creating every day. That’s pretty much become our norm. We wake up, get ourselves breakfast, and read while we eat. We do our calendar & weather, introduce the topic for the day, and then do whatever activities are in our Mother Goose Time Teacher Guide.
