Not too long ago, I was reminiscing about how far the little guy has come and of course how quickly. It seems like just yesterday that we got our very first little yellow school bus box. We were both so excited to get started. I brought the box in, put it on the studio floor, and we opened it together.
Every once in a while, we stumble across an activity that quickly becomes a favorite and last month’s Inventing New Colors activity from Mother Goose Time was definitely one of them. I seriously can’t even count how many times the little guy and I have done this activity.
The little guy and I are seriously in love with the new invitation to create activities that are part of our Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum this year. I’m all about the process of creating. And he seems to be too. We have an insane amount of art supplies around here and he even has lots of his own stuff.
We started working on the Me & My Family theme from Mother Goose Time last weekend and we’re seriously lovin’ the brand-spankin’-new “invitation to create” activities that are now included in each month’s curriculum kit.
Not too long ago, I mentioned giving y’all an overview of a typical day using Timberdoodle & Sonlight w/ Mother Goose Time, so here it goes. We are absolutely head over heels in love with Mother Goose Time. Ditto with Timberdoodle. And of course Sonlight too.
We’re unfortunately just about to wrap up our Science Lab curriculum kit from Mother Goose Time. I could seriously do experiments every day and I’m sure the little guy could too. We love all things creative and curious around here. The topic for today was Fasteners and it was definitely a blast.
We’re still movin’ & groovin’ with our Science Lab curriculum kit from Mother Goose Time. And today, it was all about structures. Lots of fun! There was definitely a lot of doing our own thing with today’s topic, though. Actually, for the first time since we’ve started getting Mother Goose Time, we skipped the Banana and Stick Structures “tray play.”
Today’s topic for our Science Lab curriculum kit from Mother Goose Time was all about molecules. Such an odd topic for a toddler, don’t ya think? Either way, the little guy loved every minute of it and of course it was all awesome for developing fine motor skills.
We took a bit of a break from Science Lab to get everything ready for September’s Me & My Family theme from Mother Goose Time. One of the focus topics for August was environments, so of course I thought it’d be fun to share ours. This week, we’re talking about play spaces & learning places.
We’re still working our way through our Science Lab curriculum kit. Mother Goose Time definitely went all out with this one. It’s seriously awesome! Our lesson for today was all about reactions, which meant the little guy got the opportunity to experience some really cool stuff. We got creative with salt and watercolors and had lots of fun exploring the reaction between the two.
