Hello, hello! We made some major changes in the studio, at least as far as the little guy’s stuff goes, which of course means that today we’re talking about creating play spaces for kids. We’re gearing up for our first year of Preschool. Our curriculum is showing up a little at a time and we’re […]
Hello, hello! As much as the little guy and I usually love our Tot School Days and learning through play, sometimes we’re just not feeling it. He’s irritable. I’m exhausted. Or we’re both in bed by 8 PM. Such is life, right? Some weeks are of course worse then others, but suffice it say that […]
This week, the little guy and I had fun reading Dinosaurumpus* and doing lots of dinosaur-themed activities. He loves dinosaurs and it’s absolutely hilarious when he roars. It’s actually more like “rawr.” Lol… Either way, he cracks me up. I love watching him explore the world around him.
I’m excited about all the awesome things the little guy and I have been up to lately. And one of my favorites is definitely his perfect for tiny toddler hands art journaling kit. I spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for art supplies that would work well for the little guy as he starts hangin’ out with his mama and making art.
This week, we did lots of fun activities related to gardening. After all, Sunday was the first day of spring and I really wanted to plant some flowers since the little guy loves our calendar activities so much. I thought he’d love watering his own little indoor garden as well. I found this adorable little kitchen herb kit a few years ago and I love it. I figured it’d be perfect for him and we could keep our flowers in the studio by the window on his science shelf.
It was color week, y’all! And of course we had so much fun! I can’t even begin to wrap my head around how much he’s grown up. It’s definitely crazy to think that he’ll be turning two in a few months. And I also can’t get over how inquisitive he is. Um hello! What happened to my baby? So long and farewell, right? These days, it’s all toddler, all the time. Lol…
The first time I stumbled across a Montessori movable alphabet, I fell head over heels in love. And then I looked at the price. Needless to say, I don’t have $60+ to spend on the real thing at the moment. And honestly, even if I did, I probably wouldn’t. I’m definitely all for the idea, though. […]
I can’t even begin to believe how many tools and supplies we’ve accumulated already for our sensory bins. It’s crazy, y’all! There’s definitely no shortage of awesome stuff for the little guy to play with, though. I keep bringing home mini kitchen tools and cute plastic trays. And then I’m like what am I supposed to […]
Updated (05/29/16) – Check out our rearranged & reorganized Montessori-Inspired “Tot School” Space + How & Why We Rotate Toys. There’s a lot to love about Montessori-style spaces and I’ve spent entirely too much time looking at them on Pinterest lately. Lol… They seriously make me giddy and I’m so in love with our Montessori-inspired “Tot […]
