In the homeschooling community, box day is only like the absolute best day of the year and although we’re not homeschooling, I still thought it’d be fun to have our own box day. You know, because I like to keep the little guy on his toes and all.
I’ve been ordering a few books once or twice a month to add to his library and we just got our first box from Sonlight. I of course feel the need to keep things interesting around here and we’ve been ordering from a combination of Scholastic, Amazon, Sonlight, and Rainbow Resource.
When I was a kid, I was in an I Can Read book club as well as a Just Ask book club. I already managed to find the Just Ask books and the I Can Read books, but there no longer appears to be anything along the lines of a monthly book club for either, so I decided to DIY a book club for the little guy and thus “Books for Little Baby E” was born. Now it all makes sense, doesn’t it?
Here’s the deal. Once a month or so, I place an order for the little guy. Those orders generally contain three books. Here are a few examples of what we’ve gotten so far.
How am I choosing the books that we’re buying? A combination of awesome things I find, various book lists, and things other mamas are recommending to us.
If you’re interested in seeing more of our monthly Books for Little Baby E picks and of course our reviews, don’t forget to follow The Keeper of the Memories on Facebook.
Thanks so much for visiting and have an awesome week!
