There are a few things that, as far as I’m concerned, you can never have too many of – books are at the top of that list. (If you’re curious what the other thing is, it’s art supplies. No surprise there, right?). Throughout the little guy’s first year, we managed to read a few hundred books and 200 or so of those ended up calling his bookshelf home.
Yep, we’re running out of space already. No worries, though. As soon as the studio project is finished, my scrapbooks will find themselves somewhere else to live.
Reading is, of course, really important to me. I mean, I seriously spent weeks tracking down the Just Ask series books. I had them when I was younger and I went out of my way to make sure the little guy had copies as well. I actually ended up buying them on Ebay, but it was totally worth it. Someday, I’ll be able to share my favorite childhood books and some fun science acitivites with him. What could be better than that?
I’ll occasionally share reading lists of our second year favorites as well, so keep an eye out for those if you’re interested in what we’re reading. There’s very little in life that can stand between me and books. Lol…
