52 Weeks to an Organized Workspace – Beads

December 8, 2016

Wow! Can y’all believe it’s almost Christmas. I can’t. It seems like just yesterday that I started shopping for the little guy and here we are a month later and I’m over it. I’m done. I’m all like let’s get this show on the road already.

Silly me thought it’d be a good idea to “hide” all of his presents in his closet. Side note: That’s never a good idea with a mischievous toddler in the house. Suffice it to say that he’s already claimed a thing or two as his own. Next year, I’m gonna have to be all ninja-like and totally outsmart the little guy. Lol…

At any rate, enough about Christmas. Let’s move on to organizing, shall we?

Welcome to week 45 of the 52 Weeks to an Organized Workspace challenge. This week it’s all about beads. I can’t even wrap my head around how many clear stacking containers I have filled with everything from semi-precious gemstones that I use for making jewelry to the little guy’s pony beads. Yep, he likes stringing small beads on pipe cleaners and it’s awesome for encouraging fine motor skills, so… And we spend quite a bit of time doing just that, but I digress.

All of my beads are sorted by color and stored in some sort of translucent container. I took the time to figure out a price per piece so that if I’d ever decide to make jewelry to sell, I’d be able to quickly figure out how much I have invested into supplies. How’s that for being a forward thinker? Lol…
