Each year, so many people take on daily gratitude projects during the month of November. Not too long ago, I decided to do one too. Here’s a list of 30 things that I’m thankful for – one for each day of the month…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my job – I know, I know… Most days, i say that I hate it, but the economy sucks, it’s relatively stable, and I make decent money, so…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my husband. I love him more than he could ever realize. He means the world to me.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for Thor. I know that sounds crazy, but he is the best friend that I could ever ask for… He’s loyal and faithful and would protect me with his life. As much time as I spend alone, I know I couldn’t do it without Thor being here and by my side – he never leaves me. He’s a heartbeat at my feet.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my studio and for having a place to be creative. I’m thankful for all the many supplies I’ve collected over the years and the freedom that comes along with them.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my peeps. you know who you are… You all mean so much to me.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for relative good health. I know… You’re probably laughing at that statement, right? Think about it, though – nothing that ails me will ultimately kill me. They’re all “nuisance issues,” so… when it really comes down to it… As much as my body hates me, you know what they say – “If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger.”
/30: Today, I’m thankful for technology. Think about it. It’s absolutely amazing what we can do these days.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for close friends and family. You know, the people that I talk to just about every day… that, when they don’t hear from me for a few days, they check and make sure everything’s alright. Having people that love you and care about you unconditionally is such a beautiful thing.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my commitment to never stop learning. I can read. I can take classes. I can sign up for workshops. I can teach myself anything that I choose to and that’s nothing short of amazing. Just today, I spent some time reading a PDF about goal-setting and skimmed through a book about nutrition.
/30: Today, I’m thankful that I married someone who’s mechanically-inclined because I’m far from it. More often than not, he can fix whatever I manage to break, which save us a small fortune. We each have our strengths and they complement eachother well.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for time – I don’t have nearly enough of it, but some is better than none, right?
/30: Today, I’m thankful for blogs – they connect me with other like-minded people.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for second chances. In real life, there are very few do-overs.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for a roof over our heads and wheels under our feet.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my commonsense – although, some people might argue otherwise. Lol…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for 12 weeks down and only 28 to go…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for comfort food – cinnamon rolls, ice cream, and brownies. Lol…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for the very occasional “mental health day;” because without them, I probably would’ve gone off the deep end by now. My patience for stupidity is seriously lacking these days. Lol…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for sunrises and sunsets, rain showers and rainbows, and all the other beauty in nature.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for companionship, in all forms – my husband, my family, my friends, my dogs…
/30: Today, I’m thankful for the opportunity to get lots of rest lately. I certainly need it at this point.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for the little things – a cup of hot cocoa when it’s cold outside, a good book on a rainy day… The list goes on and on.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for choices – I can choose what I want to do on a day-to-day basis and I can choose who I want to spend my time with.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for so many nutritious foods to choose from – fruits and veggies and whole grains and milk and eggs… There are so many people in this world that don’t even have that and yet we tend to take it for granted each and every day.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for peace and quiet once in a awhile. sometimes, especially after a crazy day, you need that.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for the never-ending thoughts… Crazy? Yes… but like I always say, I’m a thinker, not a doer.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for Torque and the lessons he’s taught me – that dog is going to drive me over the edge… but in the meantime, at least he’s teaching me patience and persistence.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for my camera, so that I can record all the amazing memories we create… moments frozen in time that I can cherish forever.
/30: Today, I’m thankful for seasons – their mere existence is proof that things are meant to change. “Because times change and so do the seasons… and the seasons changed.”
/30: Today, I’m thankful for one trimester down, which means we’re a third of the way there already… amazing!
