Butterfly – Watching caterpillars turn into butterflies is a wonderful experience for preschoolers and kindergartners. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out my Butterfly Life Cycle Worksheets. They’re a great companion for this 3-step sequencing butterfly activity.

Birds & Eggs – We did an entire Bird & Eggs preschool theme and this cut and paste sequencing worksheet would be perfect to use alongside those crafts and activities. Depending on the age of your kiddos, there are several different options for using these free printable sequencing worksheets.

With preschoolers, you can talk through the sequence story step by step and then let them do the cutting and pasting to practice fine motor skills.

Kindergartners will enjoy coloring, then cutting and pasting and dictating their story to you. Some kindergartners might even be ready to write a sentence about what’s happening in the pictures.

If you have first graders, ask them to write a story describing the sequence of events. You can either use a composition notebook or even just flip over these printables and use the back side.
