It wasn’t all that long ago that I shared pictures of our awesome preschool homeschool space for the 2017-2018 homeschool year. Not surprisingly, we made lots of changes after Christmas. The little guy got so much fun stuff that we just had to include and of course that meant getting rid of some things too.

I wanted to do something special for the little guy, so I decided to give our awesome preschool homeschool space a bit of a makeover. There was one thing that the little guy asked for over and over again and that was a kitchen playset, so I made sure that he got the Ikea Duktig Play Kitchen for Christmas. We also got lots of fun stuff to go with it.
What does that mean? It means the opportunity to create a few center-type play spaces to go along with our Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum.
We put together a pretend play area as well as a sensory play area. And then of course we also kept all our books, puzzles, and games in our preschool homeschool space too.
We’re also completely head over heels in love with this awesome Ikea Flisat Children’s Table. There are two Ikea Trofast Storage Boxes that fit inside this table and we fill them with sensory materials.
We’ve ended up with so many sensory play items lately. This huge ball, the Teeter Popper, a tunnel, and we have a hand scooter too. I love that the little guy can take a quick break if he needs to and regroup.
And let’s not forget about our magnet play area where we practice storytelling with the awesome magnetic storytelling pieces that we get each month from Mother Goose Time.
I’m so excited about how our space turned out and the little guy definitely is too. He’s spent so much time in the last few days hanging out and playing. Here’s to evolving. Yay for being able to meet our changing needs!
