This month, it’s all about routines and let’s just say organizing is kinda my jam, so… If you’re anything like me, then you’re probably sort of ambitious and want to do it all, so to speak. And you know what? You totally can.
I work full-time from home, blog part-time, homeschool preschool, and the little guy is involved in all kinds of activities. Did I just make your head spin? It’s not that bad, I promise.
Today, I thought I’d share 3 ideas for getting everything done as a preschool homeschool mama. You know what they say. We all start with the same 24 hours each day. What we do with them is completely up to us. And I definitely want to spend as many of those hours as possible with the little guy.

- Find a no-prep preschool curriculum. We use Mother Goose Time and the little guy and I both love it. Every month, we get a box with everything that we need for that month’s theme. There are puzzles and games, a storybook, craft stuff, etc. And it’s literally open and go. It saves me so much time because there’s no lesson planning and no searching for supplies.
- Read while your little kids eat and/or play. The little guy and I sometimes read while he has his morning snack and occasionally while he’s playing quietly on the floor. Of course there’s always reading aloud at bedtime too. Either way, we make reading a part of our everyday. Reading aloud to your little kids is one of the most important things that you can do as a mama and it’s also one of the easiest to do whenever you have a few extra minutes here and there throughout the day.
- Set up activities the night before. I try to make a point of setting up activities on trays the night before. It makes for much smoother transitions and that’s a huge deal for little kids who have short attentions spans. We have a half-dozen or translucent trays from Ikea and every night before I go to bed, I try to set out whatever activities I think we’ll do the next day.
So there you have it. A few awesome ideas for getting everything done as a preschool homeschool mama. I know that I totally wouldn’t be able to pull it off if it weren’t for Mother Goose Time. It really is the backbone of everything we do.
