We’ve definitely had an interesting week around here. Lots of changes in the making. As far as preschool homeschool stuff, we haven’t really been up to much. I mean, between my birthday and the fact that it’s the middle of summer. I don’t think I need to tell you the obvious. We’ve been spending more time outside than in the studio. No surprise, right?

One of the focus topics for this month is finances and I thought it’d be fun to talk about it from a homeschooling perspective. And while we do have a budget, we also have the ability to mix things up.
More important than anything else is the fact that we have an awesome preschool curriculum that shows up at our door each and every month without fail. We definitely love Mother Goose Time. It includes just about everything that we need for the entire thematic study and it’s basically open and go.
In addition to our monthly curriculum kit, we also purchase some extras to coordinate with what we’re doing. For example, when we were learning about Bugs + Crawly Things, I got an Insect Lore Butterfly Garden and when we were learning about life At the Pond, I ordered some Life Cycle sets from Safari Ltd.
And of course we love books too. Every month, we choose books to go with the monthly theme. Sometimes we buy just a few and other times we buy lots. You know, because books are one of those things that you can never have too many of. If you’re a homeschool mama though, I’m sure you already knew that. Lol…
I love that Mother Goose Time makes it so easy to homeschool preschool. I don’t have to worry about anything. Like I said, we start with just about everything that we need and go from there. We can add to it, but we definitely don’t have to. Either way, it works for us.
Don’t forget to check back next week to see what we’re up to with our new Superheroes theme. And if you missed our preschool space post a while back, you can check it out here.
